OPPO A16 has been launched in Indonesia as a budget-friendly phone that succeeds OPPO A15 in October last year. The offers thin bezels and a thick chin. It comes with a triple rear camera setup and a Notch display. OPPO A16 has been offered in three colors and a single RAM and Storage configuration. OPPO A16 price for 3GB + 32GB storage variant is IDR 1,999,000 (roughly 10,300). The phone has been offered in Crystal Black, Pearl Blue, and Space Silver color options. The smartphone is on sale in Indonesia but OPPO has not shared any information about International availability.


OPPO A16 runs on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1. The phone has 6.52-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has also a 60Hz touch sampling rate, 269ppi pixel density, and 480 nits peak brightness. The phone has 88.7% screen-to-body ratio and 1,500:1 contrast ratio. OPPO A16 is powered with MediaTek Helio G35 SoC paired with IMG GE8320 GPU. Also, 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB EMC 5.1 storage can be extended through a micro SD card. In optics, OPPO A16 has a triple rear camera setup that includes 13 megapixels the primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens. Also, include 2 megapixels of a macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture and 2 megapixels of a mono sensor with f/2.4 lens. On the front side, the phone has 8 megapixels selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.

In connectivity options, OPPO A16 has 4G, dual-band WIFI, Bluetooth V5, GPS, 3.5mm headphone Jack and USB type C port. Onboard sensors include George’s magnetic sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and gravity sensor. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with face unlock.
