Samsung is going to produce OLED displays for selected models of iPhone 13 ranges that are expected to be launched at the end of this year. Some of the iPad models will launch in the future. The company will make an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, LTPO technology for iPhone 13 pro max and iPhone 13 pro, will be the first iPhone in the series that will get a 120Hz refresh rate. Production starts

Korean publications told in a report that Samsung is going to produce more than 80 million OLED panels on the A3 line inside the Asan plant. The company is producing OLED panels for premium models in iPhone 13 range, the rumored iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro max. The Korean company will produce OLED panels continuously for iPhone 12 and older models also, after the launch of the iPhone 13 series. LG Display is another manufacturing company that will produce OLED panels for iPhone 13 series. These were iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13. LG Display will produce 30 million units for iPhone 13 range this year, and 50 million units for older models. According to a report of giant BOE, Chinese manufacturing will produce 9 million units for Apple. Additionally, the three companies have started manufacturing OLED panels. It is expected to launch iPhone 13 series before 1 month of the timeline.

Android smartphones already offer a 120Hz refresh rate in the market. But iPhone 13 series will be the first to bring a 120Hz refresh rate to the Apple lineup. For saving battery, Apple is offering a variable refresh rate to switch frequencies depending on what is on screen.

AT news has expressed in a report that Samsung will start producing OLED panels for IPL models next year. Apple is trying to move to OLED panels from mini LED and LCD in the Apple iPad range and will start working on it in 2022. It is also reported that iPad 2023 may also come in OLED screen. 12.9 inch of iPad pro released this year has been changed from LCD to mini LED.
